Parashat Lech Lecha: “Go Out”

Parashat Lech Lecha: “Go Out”

Torah: Genesis 12:1-17:27

Haftarah: Isaiah 40:27-29

Brit Chadashah: Galatians 3:6-29, Romans 4:1-25

Now the Lord said to Avram, get out of your country, and from your relatives, and from your father’s house, to the land that I will show you. 2. I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great, you will be a blessing. 3. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you. In you will all the families of the earth be blessed. 4. So Avram went, as the Lord had spoken to him. Lot went with him. Avram was seventy-five years old when he departed out of Charan. 5. Avram took Sari his wife, lot his brother’s son, all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls whom they had gotten in Charan, and they went forth to go into the land of Kena’an. Into the land of Kena’an they came. 6. Avram passed through the land to the place of Shekhem, to the oak of Moreh. The Kena’ani was then in the land. 7. The Lord appeared to Avram and said, “I will give this land to your seed.” He built an alter there to the lord, who appeared to him.

Shalom Aleichem! Brothers and Sisters in Messiah Yeshua! As we look, review and study the call of Avram, called by Adonai to Come out of his homeland. Which began the History of the Nation of Israel! and what amazed me! About studying the Parashat Lech Lecha, were the seven benedictions prescribed by Adonai to Avram.

Let’s review 1. I will make of you a great nation. 2. I will bless you. 3. And make your name Great. 4. You will be a blessing. 5. I will bless those who bless you. 6. I will curse him that curses you. 7. In you will all the families of the earth be blessed. Allow me to say this, that most do not know that these seven benedictions correspond to the seven scriptural verse point directly to works of creation where Adonai expressed that it was good. What a powerful revelation.

This is very important, to the Jew and Gentle alike, Avram, did not question Adonai, he obeyed and was obedient. Which is expressed in the Brit Chadasha: Galatians 3: 6-7 Even as Avraham “believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.” Know therefore that those who are of Faith, the same are Children of Avraham. Now let’s go deeper, Adonai blessed Avraham, based on his actions, we see the fingerprint that through all nation will be blessed. Adonai has had a plan since before the beginning of time. So, let’s look at the blueprint in scriptural terms. Remember, the question is how will all nation be blessed and who does it point to?

Mattityahu/Matthew 1:1. This is the genealogy of Yeshua the Messiah, son of David, son of Avraham: 2. Avraham was the father of Yitz’chak, Yitz’chak was the father of Ya’akov, Ya’akov was the father of Y’hudah and his brothers. Do you see to whom this points to Brothers and Sisters!

Luke 3:24: (34) Yeshua was about thirty years old when began his public ministry. It was supposed that he was a son of Yosef who was of Eli, (34) of Ya’akov, of Yitz’chak, of Avraham, of Terach, of Nachor, do you see to whom the blessing of the nation’s points to through Avraham! It points to Yeshua our Messiah. This is Genetics at its best through scriptural DNA, showing the genealogy and the bases of the blessing by faith in the blessing. Adonai said the most overlooked part of the blessings and cures in the benediction to Avraham.

The Lord appeared to Avram and said, “I will give this land to your (“SEED”) he built an alter there to the Lord, who appeared to him. Who is this seed that all nation will be blessed by, and how does the cursing fit into this paradigm? And if you noticed! Adonai stated Seed not Seeds. Brother and sisters in Messiah, this points to Yeshua, now let’s see the connection of this powerful revelation with illumination. Amen! In the Brit Chadasha: Galatians 3: 8 Also the Tanakh, foreseeing that Adonai would consider the Gentiles righteous when they live by trusting and being faithful, told the GOOD NEWS to Avraham in advance by saying, In connection with you, ALL THE NATIONS WILL BE BLESSED.

This point to Yeshua, the Written Torah made flesh, the seed mentioned to Avram, that will bless all nations. Now let’s shed a little light on the curse, shall we, now according to Galatians 3: 13 The Messiah redeemed us from the curse pronounced in the Torah by becoming cursed on our behalf; for the Tanakh says, EVERYONE WHO HANGS FROM A TREE.

So, let’s simplify, according to Deut. 27: 15-26 there are twelve different curses and they are specific, make no mistake about this can apply to the entire Torah, simply due to the fact if anyone knowingly or unknowingly SINS but does not seek FORGIVENESS and RESTITUTION, they are under a curse. This is truly misunderstood and yes, and not taught in many ministries today! Let’s go a little further.

Galatians 3: 16 Now the promises were made to Avraham and to his SEED. It doesn’t say, and to SEEDS, as if to many; on the contrary, it speaks of one and to your SEED and this ONE is the MESSIAH. Do you see it? Let’s look at one more! Galatians 3: 21 is the Torah we received against the promises of Adonai? Adonai Forbid! For if Torah had been given, which was able to give life, then truly righteousness would have come as a result of Torah.

Here is the point! Adonai gave the Torah to his chosen people with terms and condition based on Faith. So, the worst thing you can do is not believe in him and his words. Amen! Please don’t allow yourselves to put up roadblocks and traditions that would become more important to you then Adonai and our Messiah. Keep this in mind, Faith demands a person entering an active relationship with Adonai and Yeshua our Messiah, regardless who you are our what nationality you are from. And again, I would encourage you my Brother and Sisters in Messiah, to study the Word of Adonai with the help and aid of the Ruach Hakodesh, which will lead you to the Word made Flesh, Yeshua our Messiah.

Until next time! May Adonai bless you and safeguard you, May Adonai illuminate his countenance for you and be gracious to you. May Adonai turn his countenance to you and establish peace for you.
